Description: Who can forget the urgency of technological needs for developing vaccines, accurate diagnosis system, proper gene sequencing and many other scientific tools during COVID-19 pandemic period? RNA-vaccines were first researched and mass production stared to take place, thanks to the already available Adenovirus based platforms for gene cloning of SARC-CoV-2 spike (S)-proteins. I tried to outline the scheme in banner poster, how was this perceived. RT-PCR for rapid diagnosis became household name for screening. Owing to rapidly changing viral genome thereby modifying the virus to severe variants, gene sequencing methods were made simple and available to scientific fraternity. These techniques were not thoroughly taught prior to this calamity, but became integral part of all syllabi of biology and biotechnology at different academic levels.So the fundamentals and advancement in these and several other techniques in gene cloning in diverse organisms and plethora of sophisticated technological applications related to cloned gene(s) needs to be taught at UG and PG levels in every institution of higher learning. Concomitant practical handling is essential for making pupil better versed. This course, “Gene Cloning - 2” is designed to provide advanced knowledge of the subject and complements the basic knowledge that can be derived from my previous course, “Gene Cloning – 1”. For the benefit, the course is mostly taught in Hindi with added Hindi subtitles. As most of advanced text books and literature are in English the present course has an added advantage.
