Description: "How do you prefer to communicate?” is a common question when starting a project. Phone and F2F communicators prefer the multidimensional robustness of communicating through body language and voice fluctuation. They dislike long email discussions and the risk of being misunderstood. Their communication preference is synchronous. Email communicators value working on their own schedule, or asynchronously. Despite the obvious benefits, email can be easily misinterpreted. What happens when a robust "real” conversation is needed and schedules can’t be aligned? Can we keep the robustness of a F2F conversation while allowing recipients to view the message at their convenience? This course will cover the basics of Asynchronous Face-to-Face Communication, the middle ground that allows for "real time on your own time". This course contains several examples and will describe the steps involved and the rationale behind the various delivery methods.
