Description: In this advanced class you are going to study the first staff taolu. The staff is the most important weapon for a shaolin monk, is the fundamental for all the weapons. You should already have taken at list the Kung Fu Shaolin Staff level 3 - Part 1 at least, better if you have done also the Kung fu Shaolin Staff level 1, to know which type of staff do you need, and have a basic understanding of the movements. This class is required for the level 4 program. The stick is called the Granparent of the weapon and it is the basic to learn the rest of the traditional weapons. This is also the first weapon the Shaolin Monks start to train with, that is why is the first and most studied weapon in the program.According to the Shaolin tradition, in each style practiced you first learn boxing (Quan), and then weapons, and the order of learning is as follows: the stick (gun), the saber (Dao), the sword (Jian), the spear (Qiang) and finally the halberd (Da-dao).
